Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming Game Master's Fantasy

Following a brief run back in April, the Map Making Mega Bundle is back for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software throughout their history, the entire collection carries a value of over $1,300. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

The Main Attraction

The standout feature is certainly permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Basic Package

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, includes only four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This package suits existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight fully mapped cities, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 offers enhanced value by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements like map collections and additional utilities. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents in multiple viewpoints. Users can also create character portraits. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. However, it's clearly more advantageous for cartography beginners considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though the purchase is available on any platform, the applications only function on Windows.

Charitable Component

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 dedicated to enhancing children's welfare globally through education, health care, and emergency relief.
